What is Vices?Vices is a small Gaming & Roleplaying community within Final Fantasy XIV. Within both the game and Discord, we participate in a variety of activities with one another including, but not limited to: Content, Dungeons, Raids, Crafting, Gathering, Collections, and of course Roleplay.
The Vices community is divided into the following three categories. Please review and select whichever aligns with your current goals before proceeding to an interview. Your selection can be changed at a later date if you decide you wish to become more involved.
Please be aware, in order to ensure that our community remains a source of enjoyment for all involved we do have a fairly strict interview process. Application does not guarantee approval to join! Should you request an interview please be honest. In Character does not equal out of character, we want to know the real player behind the character.
#For the Content!
As a community, we understand that some people just aren't interested in joining an FC in game to participate with others. However they still wish to be apart of game nights and etc. So, why not come join us on Discord?
You'll be able to get help with Content upon request. (Do keep in mind, this goes both ways. Equivalent exchange is practiced here.)
We frequently have other game nights, such as Jackbox or Among Us.
We do participate in raids with our affiliates listed below, including Savages.
You do not have to join the FC in game to join our community Discord.
And last but certainly not least, we are an adult operated community. As such we expect everyone to treat one another with respect, and have no patience for Out of Character Drama.

At a glance.. Out of CharacterThe Vices Free Company is our primary F.C, located on the Crystal Data Center, Mateus server. It is geared towards Dark Fantasy / Horror RP, and as such IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY! Malicious RP, and trigger warnings are given often. But do not be dishearted, for we try our best to give forwarning, and will never maul (or do worse) to a player character without Out of Character permission.
At a glance.. In CharacterBlackwater Services is a full fledged Mortuary operating out of the Ul'dah housing district. We also offer Boarding House services for those not squeamish about renting a room out of our place of business.
What we are..The Vices F.C. is a cult-themed 'family' of like minded individuals who believe that power, destruction, and chaos are the primary elements of interaction and that the predator-prey relationship is applicable in all situations.Upon a time, House d'Latu revered the elder Gods and the destruction they caused. The Scion's recent discoveries have broken that notion with the rediscovering of the gods being nothing more than Primals. Now they seek knowledge throughout Eorzea, revealing a history of Magic previously unknown to the family. Equiped with this knowledge, they believe they are the heirs to the true world, and live by the teachings "Act with Magic, Act within Reason, Act without Mercy".House d'Latu seeks power by any means necessary, and have established a home-based Mortuary under the name Blackwater Services as a front for their research. They demand unwavering loyalty and obedience from any they bring within the fold.
We are a Heavy RP Free Company, and use a Dark Fantasy outlook on FFXIV lore and setting.
We enforce our own ruleset when it comes to RP, with the goal of realism and fairness as priorities.
Everything from Slice of Life, to DM'd events is considered RP, and encouraged.
We have a large FC House, located in Mateus > Goblet Ward 1 > Plot 35. It is open to the public as a family owned Mortuary.
Vices uses our own version of biblical Deadly Sins, and Cardinal Virtues, as well as many other RP geared concepts.
<Catte> House Kyho
Does the Vices FC not interest you? Take a peak here!At a glance.. Out of CharacterHouse Kyho is our alternate FC, and meant to be a more friendly moderate RP source. It is run by the Kyho's, who are a neutral good bundle of chaos and shenanigans.At a glance.. In CharacterThe infamous Catte House, run by a scandalous group of Miqo'te in Shirogane with no obvious moral compass to guide them. Will this misfit family ever live up to Gyr Abania's Clan Kyho's reputation?
Catte is meant an alternative to the Dark RP style that is Vices. We have a gorgeous FC House for it's members located in Mateus > Shirogane Ward 24 > Plot 16. It is open to the public as well as a private residence.
Catte strongly encourages slice of life RP, while simultainiously instigating bar-room brawls, running from the guards, and setting up strangers on blind dates for the laughs.
